Manual Removal
About Manual Removal
Effective manual removal involves the use of specialised instruments, such as curettes, loops, or forceps, to extract earwax from the outer part of the ear canal.
We often combine manual removal with other advanced techniques to tackle ear wax build-up. If the wax is really solid or deep, we might need to lift it out physically. For example, during Water Irrigation, we use forceps or a ‘Jobson Horne’ to get rid of any compacted wax that the water can’t flush out on its own.

Understanding Earwax
The glands in the outer ear canal naturally create ear wax which serves to lubricate, cleanse, and guard against bacteria. Every year, 2.3 million people in the UK deal with issues related to earwax. This can occur as a result of hardened wax buildup or by using cotton swabs, which forces wax deeper into the ear canal thus causing issues. If you encounter problems, get in touch with us right away.
The quicker the diagnosis, the quicker the treatment, the quicker the recovery!
